I have to rant. There's a LOT of pointless forced movements where quest givers are deliberately located in the most remote locations, at times vertically where you have to go up and up the spirals. This used to be a thing long long ago, way before FF14 was released. I *sort* of feel nostalgia from this but not necessarily in a good way lol.

Probably the most hated thing I have is going to some random npc for a one or two liner, then coming back immediately to complete the quest.

So I can feel you~

This. Also the Observatorium. Don't think I need to say any more. Especially since multiple NPCs make jokes about it.

I've heard that "You Say Run" goes with everything, but does it go with running to the Waking Sands?
Got a minute? You might learn something.

Who can forget Quarrymill's infamous Triangle of NPC's quest?

1 - Talk to NPC A
2 - Talk to NPC B 5 yalms away
3 - Talk to NPC C another 5 yalms away (forming the final vertice of the triangle)
4 - Go back to A
5 - Go back to B
6- Go back to A and finish
if it's not playable, it isn't content. - strred

Yup! I had Quarrymill as a favored destination most of the time lol

It gets better in HW and SB.

My personal least favorite runaround was unlocking the isle of Umbra.

wish i'd known there was a ferry to vesper bay back in 2.0

most people became intimately acquainted with that trek from horizon to the waking sands

So many people still don't know about this.

The main story being like 90 percent fetch quest is the worst part of the game.

It's like they wanted to pad the game out originally to keep players busy but with all the added content now it just feels so unnecessary.
