The moment I stepped into Eureka I knew why I loved MMORPGs so much since the moment I started playing them 15 years ago. There's players running around everywhere, people looking for groups in the chat, and everyone just wants to explore the new content. To me this feels amazing. It makes the game and its world feel alive.

That being said - I think Eureka isn't good enough to make this last for more than a week. It's very unfortunate, but what Eureka has done for me so far is show me what's been missing from FFXIV since the release of Stormblood. The world does not feel alive, because there's next to nobody in it. There's nearly no chat activity. Nobody wants to explore anything, because there's nothing to explore. Everyone just stands around in the city and does instanced content with 4-8 players most of the time.

I want more content with the idea of Eureka. A lot more. Put some stuff into this giant empty world, for god's sake. I want to see players running around, chatting about random stuff. I just want the world to feel alive.

not happening. we'll always be sitting around at the end game towns or at an fc house idling or queuing for something. se has no idea how to sustain the oversized maps they make.

I don't give a damn what people say about me... all of the jokes that the cool kids used to make about me.

It's f***ing WOEFUL. I played it for an hour and never wanted to return, I knew it was going to be Diadem all over again and it's actually worse since it's a bigger grind that just so happens to have the relics attached to it.

Did you all enjoy farming Dinosaur Island? Well now you get to do that while levelling up at a glacial pace with a dash of Atma farming thrown into the mix!

I'm going to give it a bit more time but my first impressions aren't good. I don't think I want a dyable af3 set enough to do that much grinding.

This is definitely not something you want to do solo. Unless you enjoy beating your head off the wall for hours.

No, you should beat your heads off the wall together for hours.

I can't rationally accept what reasons they had for this. I hear it still has bugs and stuff going on now, and after this long? *sigh*
