I have to buy a MacBook for college and I was just wondering if there were any that would be able to play this game? I've never really played games on PC so I'm not sure what to look for. If it's not possible I'll just buy this for PS3.

You are going to buy a NEW macbook?

two things you will need, a macbook with a DISCRETE graphic card
a copy of windows 7 to run (installs with bootcamp)

I seriously recommend you get a macbook pro though

your other option is to buy a PS3 or
a second 450$< Trinity laptop with 7670M or an Nvidia laptop with GT 640M< ~$750

you MUST get a 15" macbook pro with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M

DO NOT Get the 13" VERSION with intel HD 4000
that is total crap for gaming and your iphone can run better graphics

(not to confuse you, but they all also include an HD4000 in a dual graphics setup call nvidia optimus, but make SURE it also says 650M)

Yeah, I am going to buy a brand new MacBook Pro. I still haven't decided which model to get(like how much RAM and stuff?) but money won't be an issue. Windows is required? Can you even put that on a Mac?

I already own a PS3, but I would prefer to take the game with me as I won't be home very often. I don't want to buy a second laptop either.

Macbook pro can dual boot OS

when u turn it on it will ask do u want to run windows or Mac OSX?

are you comfortable with changing parts?
it is cheaper to buy your own memory and a new SSD hard drive
they are very easy to install

build your Mac like this:
the macbook pro 15"
2.6GHZ
4GB memory
500GB HD
+ ANTIGLARE SCREEN

change these parts, much cheaper at newegg or microcenter
8GB memory 1600 speed for MAC (usually crucial memory)
256GB SSD + USB 3.0 enclosure for the 500GB u removed, or use it for time machine
COPY of windows 7 pro

My personal choice
Remove DVD drive and buy a 30$ USB dvd drive
add hdd caddy (mac now has an SSD and HDD inside)
128GB SSD is fine in this case to run the OS

if you dont move your mac much, 17" is good
but if u carry it all day, you may want to go 15"
you can buy a large monitor and USB keyboard + mouse to use at home
mine is hooked up to a 24" Dell ultrasharp U2410 but you dont need one that nice for gaming

I'm not really comfortable changing the parts myself. If I buy it and get them to upgrade it to 2.6 GHz and 8gb RAM will I be okay?

yes but they charge like 100$ and the SSD is 400$

the memory will be 50$ and the SSD 200$ to do it yourself

the CPU upgrade they will do it, just make sure u click the right choice

Alright, thanks for the help. Do I need the SSD? I'm not really sure what that is.

Yes. I have even seen old Macbook Pros run this fine, but they have all the settings on minimum (doesn't look *that* bad).

Macs are not designed well for gaming, so don't expect much, but it will definitely be playable.

An SSD is a hard drive made out of memory chips
it will change your world on a laptop, yes you need it
