Do you suppose that Issun was intended to resemble Navi from Zelda: OoT?

In that they're both annoying exposition fairies. They're small little fairy sprite things that kind of just stay by your side and don't do much to help you, even though their sole purpose in life is to help you. They both have high-pitched voices, and nobody would really miss them if they just disappeared forever. Was that the idea that Clover Studios was going for? Or was it just a coincidence?

Since Amaterasu doesn't speak I always thought he was intended to speak for her and the player.

Oh, but there probably was inspiration for Issun based off of Navi, but Issun has a fairly decent role in the unfolding of the story whereas Navi didn't.
