Not only does the game seem like a WOW clone, but so is the graphical style.

Plus, this game has classes, just like WoW. And missions. And levels.

I figure they probably want to tone back the graphical requirements (compared to Skyrim) so that the game will be accessible to more people. More people = more money. My crappy five-year-old macbook can run WoW perfectly.

I understand that cartoony shaders and textures are much easier to render because they're less complex. Also, this kind of style looks and runs better on lower settings than a more realistic aesthetic.

That said, yea I hate the cartoony style they went with. It feels like:

Just stop.
Before you complain that this isn't the Elder Scrolls because the graphics are different, go back and take a look at Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind. Do they look anything like Oblivion or Skyrim?

But it is necessary to tune the graphics down anyways. Very few computers could come close to running an MMO version of Skyrim. That would make most systems explode.

There's a difference between graphical fidelity and aesthetic style. Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim all have realistic fantasy aesthetic styles. This new MMO looks like a cartoony high fantasy style. I can't comment on the earlier games since I didn't play them.

there is a reason they look like that its because in a major city your could have 100+ players on your screen at a time plus any NPCs and This cartoony looking style is easy to process a lot of characters without working your computer too hard the style is popular for MMORPGs because it works good for the type of game it is.

Definitely not a going to play it.

The charm of Elder Scrolls for me is the realistic graphic style, high end graphic of the times and lots of mods.

What does this game offer? None of that, just another mindless MMORPG games that will compete with 2345234523 one out there.

I can't wait for all people who complaint about mods that are too anime or cartoon will flood this board when it comes out, lol.
