I personally prefer triangular maps.
I just wanted a house on Rannoch with my love. We even picked out the spot.
Instead, I got Space Magic. number of likes: 14

Linear maps seem to provide less bull on spawning issues.

Triangle maps have can have more issues with spawning, but have more hotzones than linear maps.

Dodecagon maps, have horrid spawning issues, and usually have 50 ways to get to another spot...

Can I get an example of a dodecagon map please?

I like good maps, and there are good of both.

Good linear maps, like Summit and Grid, and good triangular maps, like Firing Range and Launch.

I'd say linear. It makes B-dom an actual fight between the two bases, instead of just playing a never-ending game of Musical Flags. Plus linear maps tend to have more flanking routes, since one of the routes invariably only leads to B-dom.

Edit: Though of course, a good map is a good map, however it's designed.

In some ways, it was asymmetrical though. Not your traditional map since you could hold A and C if you were either at the top or bottom.
