This seems like the right place to ask so here it goes:
Bear with me cause i got plenty of questions:
What is a good job/ and skill set for the chocobo? How does it or any other fiend for that matter learn Auto Haste/Auto Protect?
What is a good job/ and skill set for the tonberry? Can he learn Karma and Chef's knife,if so how?
Is there an faq or something?

I am still in chapter 2 btw.

Fight them in the Battle Simulator would be my guess. For Baralai and Gippal, the XCS formation is probably best, since they'd go down too easily on their own.

Or you could just got 1 on 1 with the 3 of them & use the individual fights.
Go Phillies!

(note: idk the english name cause my guidebook is for international version), * = starter skill

Baralai
*drain hp + mp > drain, mp attack, recovery (level 1)
*mighty guard > shell, protect, wall (level 1)
*Baralai's unique > mp attack, stop, delay atb (level 1)

Gippal
mortar gun > big attack group (most monster attack, power shot, 1000 needles etc.) (level 20)
mega potion > recovery (level 20)
glinder > big attack group (level 30)

Nooj
*Nooj's unique 1 > big attack group (level 1)
*Nooj's unique 2 > big attack group, mp attack (level 1)
Nooj's unique 3 > finishing move group (flare, holy, ultima, meteor etc. and other monster skill in this group like tidus's Ace of The Blitz) (level 40)

Heavy Sallet is surprisingly good. Using it at around level 60. For an L-size monster, it learns Auto-Haste, Auto-Regen, and Quick Attack by itself. With super high Agility, it attacks so ungodly fast that I'm permastunning almost all of the tournament enemies. Once they run up to Sallet, it just keeps chain flinching them to death. Poor Bahamut.

The only bad part is that when it completes an attack and jumps, it jumps so fast and so far that it takes awhile for to get back to hitting.

I don't know if this has been listed yet or not, but I just had Machina Striker learn 3 skills with one regular attack from Gug. It's level 22.

Night Game- darkness one enemy
Bench Warmer- sleep one enemy
Bite the Bullet- silence one enemy
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are the bird is still going to crap on the board and strut around like he won.

i just edited the chart with this. thanks.

and i just realized the jp names for the attacks are brilliant.

Bite the Bullet = Damatte Ukero! = "Shut up and just take it!" (sorta like "Take it like a man!")

Night Game = Mienai Ma Kyuu = (ya) can't see ma ball!
english name pretty much sums up the same thing

Bench Warmer = Kyuukei Taimu = Rest Time! (like Timeout! or such.. i guess)
Benchwarmer sort of sums it up the same...
