Hell, he straight up said that he didn't bend the knee to Walhart, unlike his other self in the story.


Which is important since it delayed the hell out of Walhart's attack on Ferox.
Which is important since original timeline Chrom was wounded, Emmeryn didn't break the will of the Plegians and cause mass mutiny/desertion and the Plegian campagin took years longer.

Yen'fay bending the knee to Walhart then would've been a disaster for everyone except Walhart. Walhart would've invaded in the middle of the Plegian campaign. Ferox would fall fast, and the rest wouldn't last.

Grima would be stopped, but all would bend the knee to Walhart.


and Walhart would learn... Conquering is easy, ruling is hard.


The catch...
Is his followers were zealous, and there'd be those that rise with him when he overtakes.
