I upgraded to a 32GB Flash drive (old one was an 8 I had laying around) and an error occurs every time I try to copy/move the Smash data onto the new device. Anyone know what gives? I moved my Breath of the Wild data without trouble.

I think Smash is copy protected.

Since my system is an 8G, it doesn't even have enough space to hold the Smash bros data lol......unless maybe I remove the update data.....I'll try that, thanks. I thought that was funny because I SWORE I transferred system to my flash drive a few years ago.

Yeah. Try copying everything Else over, then putting Just Smash on your system.
