Megaman_Jolteon posted...Holy chet! this guy actually uploaded and actual mod instead of lame skins that claim X character is legit playable.
I'm impressed.
Still waiting on actual moveset changes and legit character inclusions tho
"skin" and "model import" mod apologist post ahead
You're aware that making a moveset and "legit character inclusions" are a s*** ton of effort and many people don't choose to make moveset hacks because of their incredible tedium? It's really too bad that you're getting disappointed over "lame skins" and "fake mods" that do also take literally
hours at best to perfect (rigging, setting UV islands apart, getting the normals right, setting visibility bones, setting textures; does not include voice modding, changing the UI, and rewriting some files to make this inclusion one-slot). The animations are just another step into more and more hours of key frames and assigning them to actions and assigning hit and hurtboxes and balance. All in all, I believe creating a full-on moveset animation takes weeks, if not months. I'm sure this animation took hours and days of work, and it's just one animation.
Why not just have a little taste of trying it yourself? I myself work on model importing in Brawl and this s*** isn't easy. I consider skins that have correct lighting, good rigs, eye movement, proper materials, and proper facial expressions to be a feat because I appreciate that effort.
It's sad that you're disappointed that the hard work by the majority of modders are mostly "lame skins and model imports" because you unrealistically expect every modder to be like a goddamn mythical magician that works on an infinite budget and time. I've seen your previous posts about "oh noes those mods are lame because they're not exactly up to par with paid team of professionals that work for a multi-million dollar company" but you need a full response here.
Probs starting an argument, but I have to let that out.
If there is a game Mario is playable in, I main him.
Mario is my squishy squish. <3
