Fortune Street Board Editor

Yeah, I'll probably start development of a Board Editor after I finish my exams...
The game's pretty fun, I just found some of the board layouts.. well, lacking.
So I decided to write an editor to create new boards.

Here some screenshots I took while tinkering with the fileformat:

The last two boards were actual debug boards they used to test the game.
I used them to identify some of the weirder squares/tiles in the game by slightly modifying some of their properties.

Awesome! I'm looking forward to when it's finished.

It'd be cool if these board edits could be played on Wifi. Would really help to extend the life of the game.

If all players have the same level, don't see why it shouldn't work.
That depends on the synchronization of the game in netmode though.. but I'll test it someday.

Looks pretty awesome. Lots of possibilities with the doors, pipes/portals, and switches.

Oh man, I'm totally gonna get in on this when it's finished.

Hopefully it's the kind of thing that can be used on wifi if everyone uses the same thing. But even if not, it will definitely extend the replay value of this game after you get bored of playing the default levels a million times each.

I had not even thought of this, because I have no idea how it works. But this seems amazing and I would definitely want to see some crazy boards

I'll definitely get involved with this, I was considering making some fun hacks for this game anyway.

(Though I can just do the Wii**/ASM stuff, I don't know enough to make an editor myself)

Ok, started development now. Figuring out the board format first, one unknown left.
I've finished all the icons and graphics for all the objects and worked towards a board viewer as my first milestone.
