Whenever I hear it, the music really seems like it’s a rearrangement or some other Zelda song but I really can’t figure it out and there are no references to that anywhere I’ve seen It sounds so familiar

Am I just imagining things?

I won't lie -- I tend to be fairly terrible at picking out musical references like this, but I don't know of any that exist within the Hateno Village theme, apart from certain small portions taken from the "Inside a House" theme of previous games.

Any specific instrument? The strings? The bagpipes? The vibraphone? The keys? There are just so many different themes going on here, I really can't be sure what anyone is talking about.

The bagpipe part isn’t the part that feels familiar at all.

The...xylophone drum thing? At the beginning is playing the melody that feels very familiar

The strings part that starts around 1:08 also sounds very familiar but it also sounds like soemthing not from Zelda possibly.

The night theme is way stronger in the familiar melody really focuses on it heavily

Also can I just say this song is f***in godlike? I mean damn just listening to this to point out music parts is giving me tingles man. Damn.

The strings and bagpipes are definitely a jam on Zelda's Lullaby, and the vibraphone is a slower take on the old "in a House" (which initially reminded me of the "Tommy Boy" score when it came out late 1990s), and there are lots of phrases that could have been in just about every family drama movie from 1940 to 1990 on the strings (I'm thinking like "Where the Red Fern Grows" especially for some reason, though I remember zero music from it), like from 3:15 to 3:25 (night). And the oriental sounding bit just sounds stereotypically Asian to the western ear -- honestly they did an excellent job at that. So there's a lot of room for familiar stuff to come together.

I've loved this game over two years already so to me, it's already familiar because of itself!
