It too had a Nintendo World Store exclusive.I didn't even realize that HW got a LE NWS exclusive release, but very true, I just looked at Price Charting.com and outside of one area (new price which is $500 more than the MK 8 LE new price) it's a little bit cheaper than Mario Kart 8.
