in before the obvious but the most hardcore fans are going to always vote for the Super Nintendo. if you look at it as a retro system its games at this point have held the most value on a per title basis.

Wow, you completely missed the point (as usual). Backwards compatibility and Virtual Console are not included here; old games that are completely unchanged from the original don't sell systems.

The SNES had the most good games if counting both first and third party games. So many absolutely legendary RPGs, action-platformers, fighting games and shmups. Much of it was, at least for the time, exclusive too while the GCN was more about multiplats.

Not counting backwards compatibility or Virtual Console, I'd say that the SNES is the best overall.

Pretty much this. Game Cube or N64 would be runner up for me.
