like the Sega Saturn now? It didn't sell very well and most of its games are worth a ton now. Think Wii U and it's games will go down a similar path?

The value of physical games with enhanced ports on other platforms plummets. Whatever Nintendo leaves behind as exclusive won't be high in demand. Maybe one or two titles will be valuable one day but not generally speaking.

Not always the case. Guardian Heroes is $5 digitally on Xbox 360 yet complete physical copies are still over $100 for the original Saturn release.

Yeah, but it doesn't have a physical release on Xbox 360. The best physical version is the one that tends to hold its price unless there are other selling points of the inferior original. Generally speaking. I should have worded it better.

Many of those Sega Saturn games NEVER received a port on another system. Games like Panzer Dragoon Saga not only NEVER ended up another system physically, but never even got a digital release of any kind (and Sega can't release many of those games on something like Steam or PSN or Xbox Live due to SEVERAL problems they would encounter with porting and emulating, making porting / emulating for services like Steam, PSN, Xbox Live near impossible with many of the games exclusive to the Sega Saturn. They would have to remake many of the games from the ground up, something they don't have the time, money and manpower to do.

With the Wii U, so far we have SEVEN of it's games being ported to the Switch and the Switch isn't even one year old yet (meaning that there will be more in the future). So far we have:

1) Zelda: Breath of the Wild (which was ported at the same time as it was released on Wii U)

2) Bayonetta 1 (which was never exclusive to Wii U to begin with)

3) Bayonetta 2

4) Pokken Tournament

5) Mario Kart 8

6) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (coming very, very soon)

7) Hyrule Warriors (it got ported to the 3DS and it's also coming to Switch very soon)

Also,
let's also consider Wii U games that also ended up on the 3DS, like:

1) Yoshi's Woolly World

2) Super Mario Maker

3) Hyrule Warriors (as already mentioned)

Point I'm trying to make here is that unlike the Sega Saturn, a very large chunk of the Wii U's library will NOT be staying exclusive.Due to this, many of the game will NOT be worth that much. I think they will be worth more than PS4 and Xbox One games (most of which will probably be in the $5 used discount bin about six years from now) and some Wii U games will be about $20 minimum in the long run, most of it's games won't be worth much. HOWEVER, there will be a select FEW which will be worth a LOT more money in the future, like Game & Wario, Devil's Third, Sonic & Mario Rio 2016 (which is a very different game from the 3DS version), and Hello Kitty Kruisers (NOT Hello Kitty Racing, as someone else in this topic mentioned. That's an entirely different game released for 3DS. Hello Kitty Kruisers is a different game).
