I started playing Episode 1, and really like what I have seen so far. However, I have yet to watch the show and it is on my list of shows to catch up on through Netflix in the near future. So basically, I'm just curious as to whether or not any major spoilers for the TV show are present in these games. If so, I will hold off until I've watched all the episodes.

The games are a different continuity from the show, so while some characters are the same, the timeline is considered different.

So, not, you shouldn't really be spoiled.

There is one spoiler that is revealed at the end of Season 2. While it's nothing off putting or story-changing, it does taint the reveal in the show.
