I need a fix. I want to love this game but, good lord why would the idiots at telltale force it to use ONLY ONE PROCESSING CORE! does anyone have a fix short of "well disable shadows, AA, motion blur, turn down graphics quality, etc. etc." To the point of where I would be better off reading a choose your own adventure book?

It's not that bad in its lowest settings, the art style helps it pass.

But, regardless, have you tried setting the affinity to multiple cores in the task manager? Find the process and right click to bring up the options.

yea all 12 are allowed to use them in task manager but telltale engine only utilizes 1 and causes terrible lag with everything maxed (which it shouldn't with a gulftown and a xfx 6950). no AA causes only slight lag at camera changes and if I lose shadows lag is gone but no shadows = less immersion.
