We’ve already seen some of Beowulf’s early movement animations, but at the most recent Salty!, Lab Zero Games had a whole lot more of the chair-wielding wrestler to display for Skullgirls Encore fans. Not only does the fighter now have a colored frame–which looks great–he has also been armed with a handful of attack animations.
Not all of these moves connect yet, but the ones that do are nothing short of brutal (and awesome). Beowulf can also hold his standing jab, which lead developer Mike Zaimont says will be really important, though exactly why has yet to be revealed. Maybe a cupped hand to his ear will help him hear his opponents inputs? Maybe.
Below you’ll find footage of Mike Z showing off the in-progress character. Be sure to watch until the end to see his beat ‘em up-style grab.
This second short clip shows Beowulf entering the ring…by tearing a hole in reality itself! Pretty stylish stuff if you ask me.
Lab Zero Games has also stated that Eliza’s release date should be unveiled within the next few days, so stay tuned for more information on that as we continue through the week.
