As many player has said, quality of FFX HD vita version is indeed very bad compare to others platform, but after play around with the hidden full color setting, i wonder maybe the problem is from the vita slim restriction on colour display instead. So, to test this theory, i put the intro of FFX HD through full colour mode, and normal mode. The result is very clear that we have blame the wrong one here, so sorry FFX convert team, and shame on you Sony.

Of course the game still good, but this difference cause many strange change to the game model that make the game on vita being criticize. And sadly, the main drop in quality is misunderstanding come from this default colour mode. You can see how it affect the game against other platform here:

The colour on PS3 is actually what the full colour mode offer, which was disable by default on vita slim

How do you even turn on the full color mode? Don't tell me you need cfw.

Just finding out about this full colour mode thing for the Vita. Sorry, but I am going to piggyback off this thread...

Any reason why it's not on by default? Did the PSP ever have something like this?
Does this affect OLED vs LCD models?

Thanks in advance.

This only protect the screen from burn-in so by default this must be a fix for OLED version problem with very strong colour reduce the screen life. Just Sony too lazy to make user choose and just force it on, and then before anyone can complain the Vita sales drop so much they dont even bother to make thing right anymore.

Only the Vita Slim and PSTV suffer from this display setting, since Vita Oled has the same protection but it do not decrease the quality on display as much. And LCD on Slim do not get burn-in so this setting not suppose to be activate at all.
