Wow, NISA grabbed it?

....after Ys Dana? They can f*** off. No way they'll localize a difficult game like this correctly.

I guess it's the price we pay for a Vita release. Now I have to locate my Vita; good thing I haven't sold it yet.

why no release a limited physical release like they do with the ateliers games, would sell out without any doubt, it no make sense a Vita dl only release anymore.

Production of Western physical releases ends this month. The deadline to submit to Sony has already passed, so unless a localization was already finished and submitted weeks ago, it's too late to do a physical US Vita release of any kind for any game. The news about this has been all over this board for many months.

Don't get surprised if they annouce a Vita physical print latter, it would give some sense to this late release after of so many Vita games ignored from them. it not need to be done for NISA anyways.

It was a disappointing stream for the Switch, but the Utawaremuno Vita platform surprised me.
I guess it'll be the swan song for the Vita.

We still haven't seen much gameplay of Destiny Connect despite the game being announced months ago and getting released this year.

If anything, what happened with Ys gives me more faith in their upcoming localizations. The backlash they got over that was a wake-up call for them. It was unprecedented for them to go back and reedit a whole script, and I'm sure they never want to be in that situation again, as it was probably very costly for them. They need to stay on good terms with their licensees, and we're past the age when Japanese publishers are totally ignorant of the quality of the English localizations of their games. I don't think NISA ever would've bothered to contact former XSEED staff to work on Trails if not for what happened with Ys.

I think Aquaplus pushed for Vita, and NISA accepted since it's niche, but they are doing it for PS4 sales. DT2-2 seems impossible at this point.

That's literally impossible. If Sony won't make the cards, no publisher can buy them. The only thing anybody can do at this point is attempt to make unauthorized third-party cards, which NISA isn't going to do because Sony would sue them, or try to do an Asian print run, which is incredibly unlikely because NISA is a US localizer that does Western releases (and there might be some legal issues there too).
