I mean, it's obviously not dead until next year with physical carts ending production, but it's cool to see just how dedicated LRG has been to the platform.
As of 2018, the Vita and 3DS are still much better than the Switch.

All joking aside. The Vita has been an amazing platform for collectors and really serious video game enthusiasts in general. If only for the community it has built up.

Video games are mainstream big business now. Indies are here to stay, but they'll remain a tiny after thought on platforms like the PS4. Vita is the last time B tier studios and niche games are going to get a lot of attention from the player base.

In many ways it was a throw back to the 90's. From here on out the hardcore collectors, the weebs, the perverts, the fujoshi, and all the other assorted flavors of nerd are going to be tiny minority on all gaming platforms into the future.

It was a fun ride.

For now they're getting pretty decent attention on the Switch, but Nintendo's new CEO has disastrous ideas about what is an acceptable amount of releases on the platform that rivals Steam.

LRG is putting out PS4 games at a decent clip as well. But, the Switch and PS4 fanbases are not going to be "ZOMG LRG release today! Get hyped". Most won't even know LRG exists. That's the change, a niche product in a much larger ecosystem.

Dang I had no idea Limited Run had already produced that many physical copies of games for the Vita. That's a healthy chunk of the library.

Hard to argue with The Lord Almighty. Guess this settles it once and for all then, the Vita is alive. Dover and JB Sprinkles thoroughly rekt.
