I didn't really like Steins;Gate but I've loved every Danganronpa game so far.

I suppose I thought Steins;Gate felt a bit too melodramatic and appreciated the self-aware wackiness of Danganronpa.
A disappointing revelation of modern minds of today:

It's the worst Vita VN I read.

Avoid unless you watched the Psycho Pass anime series and want more.
No, seriously, the game couldn't even get the auto-skip function right, collecting all endings will be a pain in the ass.

You're interested in VNs, how about giving Nonary Games a chance instead? Or Utawarerumono Mask of Deception, though I'm not very far and am still reading it.

At least download it so you have it, but I personally didn't like it. I did the first case and the story was just kind of grating after a while. Like, minor spoilers: the lead detective guy seemed cool, but then out of the blue he was like "f*** THOSE GUYS, THEY ARE FROM THE OTHER DEPARTMENT". I'm sure it's something that would make sense if I saw the show, but it was a lot of little things like that that turned me away after the first case.

Compared to the animated series, it's too slow paced really. I'm playing it right now (very very slowly), not because I got it on PS+, but because I actually preordered the physical copy as the plot sounded interesting, having no knowledge it was based on a series.
The series is better.
I mean, since you've already paid for PS+, you may as well at least put it in your download list, but... this is a game I'm not too sure about.

Also, no it still doesn't make sense. I can only assume I haven't got there yet, but the character I chose to play as first has outbursts like that, something I can only assume is because of his darkening hue and unstable "psycho-pass" and worsening mental state.

Even though I've read and seen plenty of dystopian "Big Brother is watching you" books and movies, Psycho-Pass (the sereis) was pretty okay, and even self aware. The VN... I'm not far yet, but this probably wasn't a great purchase for me, though it did prompt me to watch the series first since I watch very little Japan-imation regularly.

Yeah, I apparently was farther in the game than I thought.
I seems like somehow I stumbled across "TRUE END".

This is not a great story. This is not even a good story.
Maybe if you like the animated series A LOT, and want a slower paced version of it where you have the illusion of control you might give it a try.
I'm a moderate fan of the first season, and I don't think this is a very good story.

Of course I still plan to try and play though a bit more since I did buy the game for full price, but, eh... this wasn't a great buy for me.
Oh well.

I plan to. I just wonder how I stumbled across it with my first try, and if I'm going to be as dissatisfied with the outcomes of some of the cases with her as I was with Takuma Tsurugi's story.

Extremely lazy writing. Terrible use of player agency. Basically gives you random choices without context that change the story in shallow and meaningless ways, then when a meaningful decision occurs in the narrative, it is made automatically by the author. Like, your superior officer is yelling at you NOT TO DO THIS STUPID THING, and you do it anyway, for no reason. Just the absolute wrong way to write a VN. Boring, stupid, pointless.

Many of the backgrounds are obviously generic images that were not edited in any way to make them fit the plot of the game. Glaring example: Kids sneak into abandoned library - building is fully lit and all computers are on and operational. So lazy.

This is all crap I saw in the first case. Decided the game was a waste of time and an insult to my intelligence. Deleted it.

Is it an easy platinum? Might play just for that since I don't really like VN games.
