The Memory Stick format (these are M2's in a new shell/security software) isn't rated like SD cards.

M2 cards have a read/write speed of 15MB/s read and 4MB/s write and there's no indication yet that these cards are any different.

^ then that means that they are class 4 I think...

Class 4 is very bad.
I hope faster 3rd party memory cards come out soon.

Class four? Holy crap that's terrible. Well I feel completely ripped off now. At least I only bought an 8 gig. I don't think that Sony will let the 3rd parties make the memory this time. They are Betamaxing this thing.

^ OMFG guys TC is right it is Class 4!!!

that really sucks >_<

"High speed card featuring fast up to 15MB/s Read/Write speeds"

That means the Sony Memory Cards are a Class 4 in Reading Speeds but a Class 2 in Writing speeds!!!

^ I did a check with this program on my PC and I can confirm that the speeds are really bad for something that is supposed to be new and expensive.

Considering that you can get 32gb class 10 SD cards for less then half the price.... that's a pretty big ripoff.
