all the news articles are making it seem like the stardust game is free, but it seems to me that purchasing an actual month of data is required anyways! According to gamestop, the free month is not even activated either until you purchase a fifteen dollar month of data first. Thats how it seems to be at least

Can anybody confirm this? Because if this is a true then the free PSN game is feeling like a trick to me haha

You don't think the 3g chip costs $50 do you? Thats a higher profit for sony to sell 3g models

You are correct.

In fact, you're losing money because the one month is $15 at least and the game is only $10. Of course, you do get 250 MB(a $15 value) for "free", which matters little to none for most people. So in essence, you get a "worthless" 500 MB worth of data and a $10 game for $15.

It's the 15$ bundle not just the 10$ game. So you get the game at cost with 500 MB thrown in too.

I know that, what I'm saying is that to most people, they don't care about 3G so the 500 MB is useless. If you actually do plan on using the 3G and data, more power to you, but it's been recently polled that 90% of the people who ordered the Launch Bundle is skipping out on the 3G plans itself.

To fair, Apple sells the 3G chip at a $130 premium for their Ipads.
Its that time again...
