I'm pretty sure Healing spells take advantage of Mag iirc from XIII but how about Syn and Sab, does increasing Magic make them any better or using Potent materials enough?

According to that topic: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/619315-final-fantasy-xiii-2/62391143 more magic equals longer duration for buffs (so I imagine the same is true for debuffs, not sure if it would affect the damage of Wound).

The infusion FAQ https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/619315-final-fantasy-xiii-2/faqs/63731 also gives the recommended materials for monsters (not sure if they're all there).

Oh thanks Karma! Based on that topic, Magic does indeed increase duration. I'm guessing the same goes for Sab?

That FAQ is also very helpful! Why didn't I even bother checking the Faqs... >_> this is GameFaqs after all D:

yeah magic helps duration, although not sure if it helps on the physical debuffs, that were added into ff13-2, for those str might help duration.
