Why does the Samsung Fold open the wrong way? Wasn't the fun of the old flip phones flipping them open to answer a call and slamming them closed to hang up?
It's a trick, get an axe.
The front screen is also much too small with the bezels being far too big. Even the first iPhone had a better screen to bezel ratio over a decade ago.

Not sure what Samsung was thinking, but they dropped the ball on all of their high-end smartphone designs for 2019.

I wasn't accepting the LeBron James hairline (notch) and I'll be treating the anus (punch hole camera) the same way.

That's my daily driver: Oppo Find X... came out middle of last year with a 93.8% screen to body ratio, and not a single OEM has been able to touch it in terms of immersion (closest looks to be the Mi Mix 3 which will have 93.4%).

Those Galaxy Buds; on the other hand... now those might replace my ZOLO Liberty+ wireless buds.

If I were to get any of Samsung's new lineup (I do have a soft spot for Samsung Rewards), I'd probably hold out for the 5G

I still see the hole punch the same way as the notch as "compromise" to achieve near full display.
As much as people talk crap about the Nex's and Find X's pop up camera's and also the Mix 3's slide up
mechanism, at least they achieved the full display without going the easy way out like a notch or holes.

I feel like all the positives about the phone are ruined by the giant hole punch.

I've never had a notch phone, so correct me here if I'm wrong, but if the 16:9 aspect ratio includes the notch/hole punch, then you're essentially getting a compromised screen with the "benefit" of the phone being slightly less long.

If the notch/hole punch was in an area outside of the 16:9 aspect ratio and represents extra, optional space, than I'd be okay with it. By that I mean when you watch a 16:9 aspect ratio video the top and bottom of the video still reach the top and bottom of the screen, and the video would have to "zoom in" to actually cover the notch/hole punch area.
Mwahahahaha.

As someone who recently got a Note 9, none of the above. I will be looking into the Galaxy Buds.

A lot of that crap talkin'; I believe, is just due to misinformation & the blind leading the dumb.

We all know how easily people are manipulated by buzz words and phrases, and when you aren't that tech savvy but still want to contribute something to the phone wars, some video production guy trying to play phone specialist on YouTube can make a phrase like "structural integrity" resonate within a lot of people... and being totally fair, "structural integrity" has a fair amount of syllables and "sounds smart" to the average joe.

Michael Fisher (aka MrMobile) brought a lot of firsthand mechanical knowledge and proficiency to the table in his review of the Oppo Find X... and absolutely demolished this thought that we need to be worried about mechanical components in phones like the Find X and Nex S. He's actually a lot of what drove me to consider the Find X as my daily driver (also due to me knowing that over controlling Chinese software is nothing to someone who has even elementary skill in ADB shell).

I think I'm going to grab an S10+. Pretty amazing that they were able to engineer a 4100 mAh battery into something 7.8mm thick, all the while keeping the headphone jack and IP68 certification.

What excuse do other manufacturers have?

Anyone trading in one of their phones to Samsung? I heard so many bad reviews when trading in so i'll probably just buy it outright at $849 but $550 for a S9 seems great.
