in terms of mmr?

http://dotabuff.com/matches/679149365

just did my first ranked game and it's in the "high" bracket on dotabuff apparently. I was the Clinkz, couldn't get much done in solo offlane vs Gyro+ES but I didn't die in lane got a few last hits and got my exp. We got wrecked anyway. CM was feeding (gave fb to Jugger over first rune) and blaming everyone else calling us noobs lmao.

I was disappointed when it didn't show opponent's mmr during calibration, I don't want to wait 9 more games

I thought 3k was total trench tier

So basically the internet thinks I suck but dotabuff thinks I got skills

I'll stick to dotabuff's assessment

I am in the Normal Skill Bracket. Does that mean that 0-2999 MMR is Normal?

3k is trench tier. high = average to mediocre, normal = terrible.

The brackets used to be low, normal, and then high. But it was kinda douchey to say that trash players were in the low bracket, so Valve changed it to normal, high, and very high.

Yeah, including you.

Since we're talking non-ranked here, Valve's MMR distribution for non-ranked games is accurate:

5% 1100
10% 1500
25% 2000
50% 2250
75% 2731
90% 3200
95% 3900
99% 4100

Nothing else holds true. The average is nowhere near 3k, it's 2250. High bracket starts at roughly 3.2k, very high at about 3.7k I think although that's kinda vague. Valve's numbers for non-ranked are not up for discussion though as the sample size is massive.

edit: Oh, we're actually talking ranked here. Then nevermind, the MMR distribution for ranked is unknown. It's basically impossible for it to be a whopping 800 MMR higher than non-ranked on average though. Brackets still start at the same numbers roughly.
