Figured I'll just put this right hurr.

http://nibiruplanetx.blogspot.com/2011/04/final-fantasy-7-illuminati-manifesto.html

A rather odd article that hits some good points, other than that it is pure speculation and generalization. For those who believe in secret societies that rule our planet, this'll tickle your fancy. For those of us who love games, it hits some points to look out for next time you play a epic game.

Comments?

(Reminder: if anyone doesn't know about the Illuminati, and Masonic Symbolism in society, research it.)

Personally, I didn't really think that FFVII had much to do with the illuminati. I thought it was more about 'Gaia theory'. Gaia theory is a form of agnosticism that considers the earth a body of which every living organism is a cell. It explains such things as global warming as the earth natural reaction to a negative stimuli.

I fully agree with you, I just ran across this and found it pretty amusing, so I'd post it here. Like I said, a majority of it is speculation and generalization. But the point it brought up about Earth's oil being like the Mako of the FFVII, the planet's essence slowly depleting, was a pretty good point.

I personally, disagree with the idea of the Illuminati, I do know that the world itself has its own secret's that we might not know about, but I can't fully dismiss the idea of it; who am I to say what does/doesn't exist?

I think the whole illuminati idea is a load of over-dramatized crap. I mean, sure, it's a conspiracy theory that makes a deal of sense, but then again, a good majority of conspiracy theories make sense, at least for a little while.
Like the whole aliens idea. Do I think they exist? I don't doubt it. Do I fancy it folly and hubris that they would've visited Earth? Quite a bit. And do I think that the US government encouraged alien theories as a cover for Cold War era technologies? Without question.
I simply don't see a point in being all bent out of shape about what may or may not be out there. At the end of the day, we're going to act as we deem fit, and regardless of whether our actions are guided or predetermined, we will act as if they are our own choices. In other words, don't be an Onion Knight.

Of course.
Why else would the US government want people to think of aliens, but to distract them from top-secret military designs? But even that can be shattered with a bit of scrutiny. After all, the whole point of the Cold War was to keep people paranoid about secret commies, so why not say it was a Soviet aircraft? Could it be that they were hiding something?
Whatever, it is dumb.

Digressing, there are some really dumb, gullible, and crazy people out there. Some of them won't be content unless they have something that they can call 'theirs' to hold onto, whatever the facts say.
For instance, what of Sarah Sarandon calling Pope Benedict a nazi? Every German boy at that time was forced to join the Hitler youth. But did she care that he defied them and avoided meetings, even to his parent's hardship? Nope, she likes her opinions better. The same logic applies to conspiracy theories.
Not saying that they are all wrong, but to take them seriously, you'd have to give yourself high blood pressure, what with all the grains of salt you'd be devouring.

Gaia theory?
Well, it is the idea that the earth is a living organism and the creatures inhabiting it are it's cells.

Or are you referring to the illuminati crap that's being said about FFVII?
If that be the case, then I'd have to argue that the guy did a poor job at presenting the info. All he did was mention that Sephiroth's name has from Kabbalah origins and mention signs present in the game. Seriously that can be found on the wiki article (or wikipedia, if you prefer). And if he wanted to go for the masonic signs, he should've used FFVIII. Diabolos summon, anyone?
Basically, the guy is promoting the illuminati conspiracy theory by using a popular game with a ridiculously massive fanbase.
I personally always thought that the more credence you give a conspiracy theory, the more control over you you're giving it. After all, they are basically hyped-up rumors, and when a rumor concerns an individual or group, who wouldn't want a hand in influencing it? I know back when that was my thing, I intentionally manipulated and spread the rumors about myself that I had going for simple peace and quiet. If there is an illuminati, one can rest assured that the conspiracy theories are full of bullcrap.
