What DID DmC bring to the table? Not something it changed (DT), but an actual innovation?
I spent forever thinking about this the other day.
Multi-weapon branching combos which could see some use in a proper DMC game due to how short combo strings tend to be in those games. Everything else in the game throws out everything compelling in DMC4 or bastardizes it until it's barely recognizable. Having branching air combos was Nero's thing in DMC4 and having the snatch-style platforming sections was in DMC4 (And stripped down, I might add - DMC4 actually considered Nero's position when he used the snatch when plotting his trajectory).
/DT's not even changed, it's basically a full-screen Nero DT-Flux with slow time properties.
