There are competitions and communities based around how well you can play this single-player game. Essentially, it's the same thing that surrounds multiplayer games. Go figure. It's like any other contest that isn't directly competitive: archery, bowling, trick-shooting.
Why don't we wait until the best players make vids of the full game with all the moves and weapons unlocked before we decide how bad it sucks.
This. Times a million
Because there isn't much depth with the basic mechanics to begin with in DmC. Pro DMC player with Aquila? HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE! Brea's videos were to see how she can break the mechanics, as oppose to it being a aesthetically pleasing combo video of the game. Can't blame an old school DMC player applying her knowledge to the new DmC and finding out that the game doesn't offer much depth at all gameplay wise.
She just spams JC, doesn't try to be stylish about it(not talking about rank) or use it effectively or in an interesting way(which you can). This is a great DmC combo vid from the demo, http://youtu.be/_XHfupmx1I4 . Think that was already posted, but it is the best i've seen so far. Plus we are comparing DMC videos where they have access to all styles/weapons to the DmC demo that only has 4 weapons.
Considering jump canceling is extremely easy to do in this game, I think they realize there's nothing impressive about it - least of all, visually. The surfing around JCing on the enemy was intended to be funny, I think.
