Considering that they fire Expel four times in eight frames (according to the timer while frame advancing) while moving diagonally in several places, I doubt it's legit since that requires 40 frame-perfect inputs over 0.2 seconds. For clarification, pressing and releasing each key is a separate input and must be done in order to Expel correctly - due to how it's coded, you don't actually need to move up, down, left, right, and then press a fire key on separate frames, but you do need to either press or release all five of them each frame for chained two-frame Expels, and the game runs at 40 FPS.
It's not that I would want to doubt movies like this, but unfortunately it's impossible to say whether any movie of any of my games is legit thanks to TASing and the source code being available, as demonstrated by my original reallyjoel's dad Hero Core movie which was made even before the existence of Hourglass.
