Retrospect really IS 20/20. This game is s***.

So, so far we have the following debiliatiions:

1- Looks bad in HD. The sprites look almost as blurred and pixelated as Kof 12's, maybe worse.

2- Difficult to get into. Put simply, this game bombed so badly because the inputs were so strict that the entire process alienated the average gamer, and the only ones who could perform a decent combo were playing it at EVO.

3- The new music is terrible. 'Nuff said.

4- Not all characters are unlocked from the beginning. If we're paying an exorbitant amount of money for a literally ancient game, EVERY single character should at least be made available.

5- Uploading to YouTube. Honestly, no one wants to wade through endless piles of videos featuring amateurs failing at plinking just to find some decent ones. This was a bad, bad idea from the start and I doubt if any of the GOOD players will even be using this feature.

6- Banning techniques/characters. Really? Really, Killian? If you're a loser, that's understandable. It is not if you're a winner. Pro tip: Winners don't complain when other people play the game.

yeah i was caught up in the hype too.

i stayed up to get this, now my sleep is jacked up.

i didnt like this when it first came out.

What techniques are banned?

Some of those points are just dumb, though.

Old music? Can't you just unlock all of the old music pretty quickly?

The only character not available "right away" is the boss. If you don't want to earn him, it's one single dollar.

As for super-strict inputs, I'd wager that most of the people who wanted this game the most are those who played it and loved it, and therefore know about this already. "Retrospect" or whatever doesn't really do anything for this to alter anything. Other people likely don't have much/any experience with the title beforehand to have any memory of how it really played to possibly skew in the first place.
