  3. New Message Board Feature: A f***ing Profanity Filter

Today we're launching a new feature for the message boards, a profanity filter.

This option allows for certain profane words to be posted. The site will detect them and censor them automatically for users who have their filter turned on. The words will show up uncensored if your filter is turned off. The filter can be toggled in the Basic Options. The filter is also applied for users who aren't logged in.

Here is a list of words that can now be posted in message board titles, polls, and posts (they still cannot be used in PMs, sigs/quotes, or user tags):
a******
a******
a******
a******
a******
a******
b****
c***
d****
d****
f***
f***
s***

s***

Remember that just because these words are allowed, they can still be abused enough to merit a moderation. Use the words appropriately and all will be well. Excessive s***posting with these words is not allowed. This list of words could also change, and we'll make announcements if it does.

Attempts to bypass the censor to make these words visible to all users will result in moderation. Attempts to post other offensive words that aren't on this list without properly censoring them (remember, "e****" for "ensue") will result in moderation.
"Um, let's face it, you'd be better off staying at the Hilton."
