What are all the sequence breaks that don't involve glitches? I know

Skip flying armor with backdash jump to area before chapel.
Skip sliding ability, golem and headhunter by spacing a perfect double jump onto the platform into floating garden.

What else is there that reduces time greatly that doesn't involve glitches?

There is going from the Castle Corridor to the Inner Quarters. The ledge on the right side of the room has a post in the background at the edge of it; that's where you start from (lining yourself up with the post in the background).

Make sure you have the Flying Armor soul active before and during the jump (you'll also need to be able to double jump), then wait until the next post in the background before double jumping. Do it like that, with the Flying Armor soul active until you finish the jump, and you should be able to make the jump every time.
I always hold down the jump button to get max height on the jumps.

Once you get the double jump you can get to the floating gardens in the water way if you jump just right with flying armor.

Yeah I'm skipping inner quarters anyway...and flying armor.

Also you can get into floating garden without flying armor.
