Good to see this board is still thriving.

I used to play this as a kid. A lot. Too much.

I got it for a measly $7.50. Not bad, I must say!

Hope it's not a bootleg. And this is by far the best version of the game, imo.

Oh, absolutely.

How would I tell if it's a bootleg? It had the label and whatnot...

I guess by looking at the sticker for starters. I've read about how a lot people get fake GBA games from ebay. Can you post a link to the auction?

Looks legit enough. The seller has 100% credibility, so that counts for something.

Edit: Well it says the seller has 100% positive feedback.

Looks good enough to me too. I've seen a couple that have Mario on the sticker like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2IH6SUhbus

Portability, better music, level select, and the e-reader levels make the best Mario game of all time even better.

Okay, good.

Well anyway, I can't wait to play this game again.

After 13 years, my glacier GBA is still kicking.

I never owned the e-Reader as a kid. I always wanted one. Who knows, maybe I'll shell out for one on ebay.

Most of the levels in those pictures are from the japanese version translated into english. So, an e-reader won't do you any good. The only way to play those levels is to use an emulator, or insert a save into the cart using a flash card and ds lite.

I still have a Fushia or whatever it's called og gba, but I prefer using my sp because of the backlit screen.

Yeah, the SP is way better for games.

I just prefer my original GBA for the nostalgia.

Ah, ok. There are kits out there where you can add a backlit screen to the og. I'd put one on mine, but I have no clue on how to install it, and I think they are a little expensive. The og is a lot more comfortable to hold over the sp, but I have to use sp because of the screen. If the og had a backlit screen, you better believe I'd be using it over the sp, too.

Enjoy the game.
