A 1/4th drain upgrade is programmed into the game, but it's not obtainable through normal means. You might be thinking of Parallel Worlds, a ROM hack where you *can* do that. Back to basics |

I've completed Parallel Worlds, but I can't remember... Doesn't Magic automatically regenerate anyway in that hack? It doesn't have to make sense. |
