I've never played from beginning to end in one sitting before, but I would say about 5 or 6 hours. But they pad out the time by disguising paths so that you might walk right past them.

Also, there is a helmet called the pillow that, when you receive it, is best helmet available. It puts the wearer to sleep, and he never wakes up as long as it is equipped.

How exactly does the "save" function work?
Currently playing Lunar: Dragon Song, Xenoblade Chronicles, FFVII, and White Knight Chronicles.

As far as I can tell, it automatically saves. It overwrites the save every step, so if you turn it off, its already saved. Since it was my first RPG, when I started up new ones, it surprised me when they weren't saving automatically. Though, being that the second was Final Fantasy, I guess that's a given. I don't know if it saves when you are using the menu, but when you shut off, you are wherever you were when you last played.

Actually, I'm over thinking it. It autosaves every change.

It's understandable since this style of save is so rare. Enjoy!
If I found a similar game with a similar save style, I'd probably spend far too much time trying to figure it out since no one says a word about it.
