Definitely. It's weird though... In a DQ game, I expect to grind. It's like, every game, right from the beginning, you just know you have to grind a bit, get stocked up on weapons and armor, then you're good. LO is weird. In the first major area, it was like "oh yeah, these random battles are nothing," and then I got to the first boss and got my ass handed to me in no time. It just kinda snuck up on me, and I honestly didn't know if I was supposed to grind, or if I was just not doing something right.
I eventually beat the first boss, then started to get my ass kicked by regular enemies in the next area. I might try to go back to the town to see if there is any better armor I can throw on. I don't think there is, so really the only option I have is to grind and see if that helps, or if I at least learn some better spells that can get me through to the next area where I obviously start getting the crap kicked out of me again.
