I started out the day, around 12:30 after spending the night painting the shield for my costume, but since my Stocke suit couldn’t be finished. I already had stuff packed: badge, snacks, drinks, and DS. I got my old chainmail out instead and went online to check on the phrase for the sign I promised I’d make so I’d be identifiable to Mikhail from the Breath of Fire 3 board. The line for prepaid badges was insane, I’m very glad I generally order the badge instead of picking it up. I sat down next to a pillar, put on my chainmail, set my copy of Dragon Quest 9 for DS to tag mode and made my sign: “Cosplayer on Strike: Need more Pocky/Glomps, and I headed into the dealer room, got my string and program, and headed in. I was pleasantly surprised to see the author of Star Cross’d Destiny (she’s a cutie) bought one of her mouse pads which she signed for me. <3 I chatted with her for a bit and gave her some chex mix and moved on. I met up with the Mystic Rev author as well. Other than that, I pretty much passed from booth to booth, chatted with a few people including someone who publishes her stories. She mentioned her panel for “How not to starve as a starving artist” I forgot to check it out later.;p
While I was checking the dealers room, I didn’t buy anything and got 5 tags for Dragon Quest and before leaving talked with someone about how there were plans to make a new Vampire Hunter D movie, we agreed that the original D should be left to its legacy and that Journey to the North Sea would be good, tho a bit longer than most other movies. As I left the room, I got more compliments on my sign, tho I was warned of the possibility that it might be considered solicitation. The ramp that walks to the Hyatt was nice and cool this year. When I got there, there was a table where I made a crane for children in Japan, (only did one) and they mentioned the Hiroshima panel. I went down and started watching Anime while I waited for panels. Started with Save me! Lollipop, then moved onto Pandora Hearts, and Corpse Princess. They were supposed to show Master of Martial Hearts, but the disc wouldn’t run, so they showed Pandora Hearts again. I moved to another room and watched Pumpkin Scissors and cut out to check the Umineko panel, which was full. The panels this year were mostly done in the other neighboring hotels, so I had to walk over to it. It was about 25 minutes round trip. Finished with Pumpkin Scissors and watched Rental Magica. After that I watched Maria Watches over US. As a result, I missed two hentais but caught Dirty Laundry which pretty much was hilarious, I wish I would have had a sound recorder as remembering the dialogue beyond the dainty parts eating men whole, jokes about the impossible anatomy of the characters is impossible.
At 4:30, they showed Time of Eve, an anime about the disappearing gap between humans and android. It was awesome. I tried to watch Gun parade, but kept falling asleep. I watched Polyphonic, about a music contractor and his spirit, I wanna see the rest now.
After that I headed to the God and Demons panel wherein I took lots of notes and mentioned the book ‘Unfortunate English’ and told the story about the handkerchief baby from Mexican legend. After that I headed back to the Dealer’s room, but it turns out that the panel had about a half hour wait left, so I had to wait another 15 minutes. So I set up my DS to collect more tags, and got 2 more. After that I went in and chatted with the Star Cross’d lady and gave her some 5 hour energy, so she gave me a CD. I bought a WitchBlade book and some dice, nothing too special. I somehow didn’t see the girl for Mystic Rev again.

I went back to the Hyatt and watched some of Kamichu, and then School Rumble until I left to the Hilton again for the Politics in Video Games (which I’ll let Mikhail detail as he can do more justice to it) and when I found no other interesting panels headed back to wait for the Console RPGs. We stopped and chatted and I mentioned the blog I’ve recently started. They were Cloud and Zack. He was pretty popular approached by a lot of the people afterward. I believe we discussed the possibility of doing a centralized online panel there which could be attended anywhere in the convention with a laptop. We also chatted about picking up girls and how I could pick up a girl outside the con, but felt like I’d be creepy in the con. Guess it’s a subconscious thing I can’t pick up on because they aren’t wearing normal styles.
I didn’t feel like doing more cranes, so I didn’t and forgot later. I missed the Hiroshima panel, and the Console RPGs - Past and Present was not particularly special this year. I watched Dirty Pair and My family’s Fox God before heading for Console Rpgs. After I left early, I headed back to catch more anime and participated in the raffle winning cards, pins, watch, water bottle and anime called Shattered Angels. I watched Butler Black about a house lord who pacted with a devil, and the butler always says that he’s a hell of a butler. Then I watched Angel’s Feather. I won a T-shirt “I go aoi for yaoi” and offered to a couple of girls, the promoter took it back and gave them each one, really nice. :)
Anyway, I went and watched the first four episodes of Sacred Blacksmith and called home to mention that I wouldn’t leave until 3 and went to watch the hentai: Cleavage, Viper GTS and Wet Summer Days. The banter was insanely loud and in no way fun like the Friday night banter. The first two were pretty much the same what I expected and the third I may have to watch again cuz it has some interesting ideas including the father who paints pictures of women and death. I particularly like the countryside atmosphere present in the hentai. After that I caught a ride home with my mother and we stopped at Denny’s had a meal and went home. As I type, I recall that this year wasn’t not has fun as last year.

I never did beat Evolution Worlds, but it had some cool cutscenes and spoilers. I think it was either the level design or the battles that got on my nerves after awhile.

You got a yaoi shirt? D:
I want one...

I won one, but I gave it away to two girls so the person took it and gave them each one. It was labeled, "I put the aoi in yaoi."
