You could color over the object with the paintbrush, sure. You'd just want to make a layer above the image, and paint over the object with the color you're covering it with (white works fine).

So, yeah. I doubt you can cause it to ignore a certain color, though.

Figures.
If you figure anything out.
It's sad, you can draw pictures, but you can't edit images when they are imported. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Flash is an animation program, not an art program. If you want to do stuff like that, you use programs like Photoshop, which is made specifically for editing pictures.

Well, see, I'm not really interested in editing pictures, I just want to get rid of the white behind the picture. I mean, if you put pictures with white in the back on a website, ignores the white and any program made for editing pictures can be set to ignore a specific color. Well, do you know if there is a specific format which FLASH will import a picture and allow editing? I mean, you can draw stuff and animate that, but if you import something you can't ignore a specific color. Okay, so FLASH MX won't do that like a want. Paintbrush can't fix that. I don't know how to use Photoshop. What do you recommend?

As far as I know, you should just open photoshop or a photoshop-like program, select the image's background, delete it, and save it. That should leave nothing behind it...

Though, if that doesn't fix it, I'll be surprised to see it. I'm not sure what to say, if that's the case.

It's been a while since I've done something like that, so I'm not positive, but that's what I'm thinking at the moment.

Well, if you want to trim off backgrounds, art programs in general are your friends; Photoshop is the best for editing, while others are best for outright drawing.

Flash is the end-all be-all of animation programs. Hell, it's even better than a fair amount of game making programs (for the purpose of making games, at least).
