So this game can't be finished as the barbarian?

I remember hearing/reading something about the single-player mode of Blades of Vengeance not being able to be completed using the barbarian.
Is this true?

I was not able to do it. I got to the room with the lizard guy who throws his weapon that sticks in the wall that you have to jump on to reach the treasure chest which has the key to the locked gate, but the barbarian never seems to be able to jump high enough to get on that platform. I tried dozens of times. He never makes it.
What's even worse is that missing the ledge automatically makes him fall in the spike pit and take damage. It's bad enough trying to get the lizard to throw his weapon right, but trying to jump off it is even worse.

So yeah,...
Not beatable as the barbarian?
