Yeah, I saw them before I got off shift this morning. My first thought was to wonder how long that took you. My second thought is that I saw a few places where the formatting could probably be made neater. My third thought was to remember that I called it "PRINT"me for a reason, although I understand not many people have access to a good printer.

In any case, I'll respond at some point with a few thoughts on how it can be cleaned up. In the meantime, here's what's changing in 1.5:

I addressed your first and third thoughts in my long post (#355), but I'm interested in your thoughts on your second.
Ya know, one of these days I'm gonna think of something to put here...

OK, I have a couple of questions (still on 1.4.8, will probably upgrade soon-ish):

1) How do people reach the IM(T)RF at such low levels? One of the guides on that site you linked said you should be around 10 when you get your first Espers. I'm currently in Zozo, party average 13, with the two I left in Narshe at 11. I haven't done any grinding (save for on the Veldt), but I haven't done anything special to avoid getting experience, either. Do most people just run from every other battle or something?

Yeah, that's about what you'd expect if you play it normally. But the big secret is in the battle at Narshe. You probably think there's nothing you can do about those battles; but you can skip all the soldiers and just fight Kefka. It involves a simple trick to walk past a soldier without triggering a battle, and the rest you dodge by sitting somewhere they won't go and letting them pass you first.

The battle in the mines can be similarly skipped.

Since I'm already on the topic: there's a new bug, discovered 3 weeks ago. It involves the screen fade that occurs when you open the menu and switch between parties, and allows you to walk past event triggers. The speedrun record holder discovered it while practicing parts of Kefka's tower.

It's actually possible to use that to skip the Narshe battles faster, but there's more risk of getting into a battle and only speedrunners would care about skipping it faster.

When I played, I used zsnes on the second lowest resolution - dat pixel density - and had the printme opened in the background. I've tried setting up a Wii classic controller as a bluetooth remote for playing on the phone, which works very well, but I couldn't get used to the lack of an epic throttle. That, and the number of game overs I incurred the first time through and imagining them being played back at ~200% rather than 500%. Or maybe playing on the laptop provides the fidelity of a PC version of the game. Less emu interface to deal with.

Anyway, a mobile format of the documentation will be rather convenient for some people.

Sadly, I'm not familiar enough to discuss those changes. I do plan to play through again sooner than later, before the year's end at the latest.

In response to Ringo - sorry if it feels like I'm ignoring you. I've just been balls-deep in working on 1.5 this last week.

I do intend to respond to you, and will do so with a file that's updated with the changes that will be made in the upcoming version.

Just started a playthrough. I love the change you guys made to Whelk, lol. So far I'm enjoying every change I've seen.

I felt a little trolled when I found out that unequipping Mog was pointless. I can totally understand why you altered that though. 5k Bio Blaster :(
Attention campers, lunch has been cancelled today due to lack of hustle. Deal with it. Currently Let's Playing Final Fantasy VI: Brave New World

Okay, seems my Wiimote with Motion Plus (tm) doesn't want to function as a blutooth controller, and my older Wiimote is boxed somewhere in the garage. Playing with the touchscreen is more tolerable than I thought it would be. It's not quite so-good-it's-voodoo like FFV Advance felt, but I'm rocking it. Not sure how the printme will work as a separate app in terms of ease of glancing, but it's called printme for a reason. I'll burn that to some paper later today.

I've forgotten enough of the details to require a quick doc read before I go anywhere past Arvis, but I'm looking forward to finally getting that second run going in earnest.

My fast forward maxes out at 3x with the frame rate of a Korean F2P MMO. Let's see if I can handle not having 5x at zero frame skip.

Wow, I can't say I've ever seen dead characters attacking. From what I know of the battle scripts (pretty much just your ramblings here), I can't explain the apparently random targeting, either.
