I beat this game about a month ago:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/213-nonstop-gaming-general/72275158

Now I'm at 442 out of 443 cards collected and a time of 53:24. I believe I'm actually missing three promo cards:

P31: Mew Lv8
PXX: Lugia Lv55
PXX: Here Comes Team Rocket!

The last two require you to use Card Pop!, so they're probably out of the question forever. I would consider myself lucky for even being able to get the other two Card Pop!-exclusive cards: Venusaur Lv64 and Mew Lv15. They can be obtained by exchanging 2000 chips each for them at the Game Corner.

Now Mew Lv8, I know exactly where to get, but it requires flipping ten consecutive heads in the Game Corner, and the odds of that I'm guessing are 1/(two to the tenth power), which is 1/1024. You need to pay one chip every time you attempt, and I can get 1024 chips with no problem, but it's the tedious button-mashing and the reliance on probability that make me want to procrastinate or even skip getting that card. You can't just look away, either, because you have to hit Left to select Yes whenever you fail. Unless there's some easier way to get the card that I'm not aware of. Yu-Gi-Oh! has Second Coin Toss, but I doubt a similar shortcut exists for this game.

It's interesting because there are eight cards in the game that even Alamedyang admitted in his FAQ he doesn't know the locations of:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/gbc/581059-pokemon-card-gb2/faqs/19492

I haven't run into the other 8 promos in the normal course of my game, so if anyone can give me information about how to get these cards, please let me know. The cards are:

P10: Pikachu Lv13
P14: Flying Pikachu Lv12
P15: Surfing Pikachu Lv13
P21: Mankey Lv7
P25: Slowpoke Lv9
P27: Mewtwo Lv30
P35: Farfetch'd Lv20

Which begs the question of how I got P14, P15, and P35. I think I remember getting P35: Farfetch'd Lv20 from Imakuni? after defeating him in a duel three times. Don't remember where P14: Flying Pikachu Lv12 or P15: Surfing Pikachu Lv13 came from, though. P10: Pikachu Lv13, P21: Mankey Lv7, P25: Slowpoke Lv9, and P27: Mewtwo Lv30 all came from the Black Box; those were the ones I got after exhausting all other methods. The Black Box can't give you Mew Lv8, though.

I should also mention that it was a pain in the ass to get at least one copy of every other card in the game in the first place. Hours of mashing Down at the slot machines were necessary to get enough chips to buy P07: Omastar Lv36, P22: Machamp Lv54, P23: Golem Lv37, P24: Alakazam Lv45, P26: Gengar Lv40, PXX: Venusaur Lv64, and PXX: Mew Lv15. That's 9000 chips, right? Just continually mash down, save after every 500 chips you earn, reload if you lose more than you win.

And grinding for booster packs took even longer. Here are the people I had to duel over and over for their booster packs:

#1 Bulbasaur Pack - Science Club, top right guy, gives two, easiest duelist
#2 Moltres Pack - Fire Club, top right guy, gives two
#3 Omanyte Pack - Fighting Club, bottom right guy, gives two
#4 Mr. Mime Pack - GR Fighting Fort, top left guy, gives one of this and one Rocket Grunt Pack
#5 Pidgeot Pack - very rare, have to get from female sidekick of final boss, she's very difficult and gives one of this and one Rocket Grunt Pack
#6 Rocket R Pack - GR Grass Fort, get from final duelist, he gives two of these
#7 Rocket Grunt Pack - get from either the guy who gives the Mr. Mime Pack or the girl who gives the Pidgeot Pack

It was a pain to collect at least one copy of every card. The last one I needed for collection purposes was the Base Clefairy Lv14 in the Mr. Mime booster pack, and that one took forever. Then I realized I was missing the Promo Mankey Lv7, so I had to spend four hours grinding against the final boss's female sidekick before she would finally drop a rare Vending Hitmonchan Lv23 to use in the Black Box. Using a powerful all-Psychic deck against her makes it a lot easier, but still I swear that out of the 17 rares in that booster pack, I got multiple copies of all 16 other rares before the Vending Hitmonchan Lv23 would finally come out.

Aside from collecting that last Mew Lv8, I guess the only thing left to do for completion purposes is collecting enough cards so that all the auto deck machines will let me build every one of their decks without any cards being missing. I have 99 of every Base energy. I've already beaten everybody in the Sealed Fortress at least twice, and they don't reward you with much. Hardest was the far right one because I was stubborn and insisted on using an all-Fire deck against a classic Blastoise Rain Dance deck. The one that used Alakazam, Chansey, Tentacool, and Scoop Up was really annoying, too.

Here were my Fire deck and my Psychic deck:

21 Fire Energy
04 Vending Charmander Lv12
03 Base Charmeleon Lv32
01 Base Charizard Lv76
03 Base Vulpix Lv11
01 Vending Vulpix Lv13
03 Base Ninetales Lv32
04 Base Ponyta Lv10
03 Jungle Rapidash Lv33
01 S-Deck Magmar Lv18
03 Fossil Magmar Lv31
01 P04 Moltres Lv40
04 Energy Search
04 Professor Oak
04 Bill

The 3:1 ratios for Vulpix and Magmar are because I like to have some variety, although I picked three of the one I think is more useful and one of the one I think is less useful. Moltres and Energy Search exist primarily to trim the deck down and get the Fire Energy cards out of the way so that I'm statistically more likely to draw other cards, although they obviously do have uses in and of themselves.

25 Psychic Energy
04 Rocket Abra Lv14
03 Base Kadabra Lv38
02 Fossil Gastly Lv17
04 Jungle Mr. Mime Lv28
01 P28 Mewtwo Lv60
01 P29 Mewtwo Lv60
01 PXX Mew Lv15
03 Mew Lv23
04 Energy Search
04 Professor Oak
04 Pluspower
04 Bill
