You use the word "an" if the next word starts with a vowel sound. If it starts with a consonant (like FAQ does) you use "a" instead.

His grammar is fine. "F" (pronounced "eff") begins with a vowel sound.

But not if it's pronounced "fax". Who is seriously pronouncing this site's name as "Game Eff-A-Ques"?

Me. I use "a" instead of "an", though.
I am me, that's who I am.
And I am it, that's who I am.

Oh my god, calm down. I pronounce the letters separately 'F.A.Q', not 'FAX'. I understand a lot of people might say 'Gamefax' to refer to this website, but your reading would require someone to call an FAQ a 'fack', which I've never heard before. I suggest you use your excessive free time to play this tedious game, rather than finding problems where they don't exist.
