Honestly I wanted to side with the hardware modders but they really were selling this in particular as a device to get free switch games with.
How is that different than charging thousands of people on a regular basis for replacement controllers because they knowingly cut corners on hardware to save themselves money? What's the equivalent amount of games sales in money Nintendo has received from doing that, vs the sales they've lost from these modders?
Now I know, I know, the law says it's ok when Nintendo does it, but aside from that?
