It'd be fun to see how they reacted if a major design flaw in our money meant they stopped being allowed to spend it after their s***ty hardware made us unable to play their games. They might give a damn if that happened.

Wow Sony, gotta tip my hat to you. You achieved something nobody ever could.
You legit caused me to go from "Imma go get me a PS5!" to "I'm not spending a single dime on your s*** ever again" in a matter of months. Great job!

...Oh wait, CD Projekt Red. Welp, guess Sony wasn't the first. Wow Sony, way to fail..

Planned obselescence. Why should you own what you buy?

This doesn't seem intentional, but still a s***ty design oversight.
Surely there's no problem with them putting me in Brawl, right?
It's ****ing satire, damnit. 6 times 3 isn't 200 either!

Would we be able to dodge this ragnarok by getting a PS5 and transferring games to that?
Also, will this happen to the VITA too?

Don't think its necessarily an oversight so much as they saw an easy way to code the trophies and didn't mind the consequences. I find it hard to believe the programmer who tied it to an internal battery didn't consider the idea of the battery running out

I'd say get a PC but the parts market is still hell

So let's see, my options are to go Switch and get f***ed out of playing most games I want to while dealing with Nintendo half-assing everything if they even decide to make anything at all, go Sony and deal with some of the worst market practices I've ever seen now which is really saying something, go Microsoft and miss out on every exclusive I was going to go Sony for in the first place, or go PC and either deal with horrendous performance or spend an arm and a leg on a high-end computer I don't even really want.

It's good to see that market competition has resulted in high quality products as intended. /s

The thing is too I've been a proponent on withholding purchases to give companies incentive to do better but at this point things are so beyond f***ed that the only real options are "buy something from someone who will inevitably screw you every chance they get because you can't do anything about it and they know it so they benefit from abusing you" or "don't play video games ever".

But it's okay, this is all legal. Doing anything that might result in justified recourse is a sin and you're legally up s***'s creek for it if you try, but this is fine. Just don't, say, offer up a free, higher-quality alternative in the form of a fan game, because that's evil. Companies need to profit and we can't expect them to compete with some guy in his basement doing their job way better than they ever bother to even with massive budgets and countless overworked, underpaid employees, stop being selfish.

I hate everything. Just... just so much.

They obviously did consider it, which is why the clock re-syncs after connecting to the PSN network. The real oversight is thinking the PlayStation PSN will exist forever, or at least outlive the PS4.

It'll probably be fixed someday, but it's really not that big of a deal so there's a chance it won't.

Can't wait for the day most gamers turn socialist just to end s***ty market practices.

If it weren't for the GPU prices skyrocketing it wouldnt really cost that much to get a solid mid range

Honestly I'm just gonna practice folding in on myself until I can do it tight enough to effectively delete myself from reality. I'm thinking that's the play here.
