Nine For Eleven (9for11) is a CSS that transforms the modern v11 GameFAQs into the old GameFAQs "v9 Standard" we all know and love.
You can find the latest version of 9for11 here: http://userstyles.org/styles/17299 That page will always be updated with the latest version. You can find out more information about 9for11 and my other CSSs here: http://takatocss.co.cc/
Please follow these instructions to set up and use 9for11. [If you are not using Firefox, download and install it first]
GameFAQs - Set your "Message Poster Display" to "Above Message" - http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/settings.php
GameFOX - TICK the "Disable main GameFAQs stylesheets" box - Tools > GameFOX > Style - UNTICK all the stylesheets - Tools > GameFOX > Style > Stylesheets - [You can re-enable them again one-by-one after setting up 9for11, and see if they work]
9for11 - Go to 9for11's userstyles page - http://userstyles.org/styles/17299 - If you want to use Stylish to apply 9for11, click the "Load into Stylish" or "Update" button. Follow the prompts, are you are done! - If you want to use GameFOX to apply 9for11, click the "Show Code" button. Copy and paste the full code into an empty text (.txt) document, save it, and use the GameFOX "Import Stylesheet" button. Then you are done! - Tools > GameFOX > Style > Stylesheets
GameFOX features are mostly supported. If you have any problems, let me know. The aim is to have 100% compatibility with GameFOX.
The CSS uses the old 800px width that GameFAQs used. There will eventually be options for 1000px and full-page width. Keep an eye out on this topic.
For information about previous updates to this CSS, and for "Nine Standard", see this topic... http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=565885&topic=49199209
Been a while since I've seen the forums so thin. I think I'll probably switch to one of the wider versions once you get it done, since the whitespace was initially used to house ads, and with them gone it's just wasted space (as it was then if you used an adblock plugin).
Do you have any plans for changing visited link colors in the board/topic lists? I got used to using the lighter blue to track new topics and boards I visited frequently with a cursory glance.
Wow, it looks just like the actual thing. More so than the old 9for10 stylesheets I remember. Though with my newer large monitor all the wasted white space just gets to me now. I loved v9 but I'm just not sure I can ever use it again. o_o
