  3. Is it possible to do magic combat without training defense?
GoldenSun3DS 9 years ago#1
Right now, I have 50 Magic, 20 Defense, 27 HP, and 36 Combat.
I want to cap my Defense at 30, so is there a way to fight with magic without gaining Defense EXP?

It gives defence because you enabled defensive casting. It doesn't give defence by default. That aside, why would you be using combat spells at that level in the first place? Or want to cap defence for that matter.

So I can be a semi-pure mage.

There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist.

So your combat skill can be much higher than your combat level and pwn everyone in PVP'ing within the same combat level range as you.
