I've read that you can force update the 360 through use of a thumb drive. I'm really wanting to play this game again.

I don't think it's possible at all with the last BC update not including support for XBV.

Not sure what you're talking about with the forced update but I've read you can use hacked emu files to make some games run on a jtagged 360. Someone attempted this with DOAX but didn't have success, this is from the thread:

I followed your instructions to the T but I now get the error X: 5829 B: 5829 before I just freezes at the Xbox logo screen. Any chance of reuploading your compatibility files again? The link is broken. Also did you rip an original game when you chose 'copy dvd', I just copied a backup I had. Can't wait to play Dead or Alive Xtreme nude patched. :p

Update: I take that back. I actually got it to work with Street Fighter anniversary edition using your method but it wouldn't run DOAX T_T
