Classic is just Blizzard protecting their IP, they'll have a stronger case against private servers if they're running the product themselves.

Where does this crazy ass s*** come from? They don't need to protect it. It is their IP. It's already protected through copyright. Why do people keep making this crap up? This is a pretty dumb thing to think.

They are making Classic because players asked for it. Players need to be grateful and instead they keep making s*** up to attack the intentions.

Blizzard didn't even want Classic. They just wanted to make players happy. It's a good thing.

https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/227336-blizzard-claims-it-shut-down-classic-world-of-warcraft-server-to-protect-its-intellectual-property

"World of Warcraft’s executive producer and vice president, J. Allen Brack, released a substantial community post addressing the issues and concerns surrounding the shutdown of the Nostalrius server. He writes:

Why not just let Nostalrius continue the way it was? The honest answer is, failure to protect against intellectual property infringement would damage Blizzard’s rights. This applies to anything that uses WoW’s IP, including unofficial servers. And while we’ve looked into the possibility – there is not a clear legal path to protect Blizzard’s IP and grant an operating license to a pirate server."

This "crazy ass s***" comes from reality, where you apparently don't live anymore.

That's not what he said. He said the Classic server was to protect their IP.

You're confusing two scenarios.

There's actively protecting your IP.
And there's answering player feedback and creating a server that fills what the private servers did.

Back on ignore you go.

You are so full of s*** with the ignore thing. You rapidly respond to anything directed at you. You just can't handle differing opinions and can't take what you give so you think you're playing the "trump card" by pretending to put people on ignore.

Also, I'm going to go with what has been said by Blizzard, not by some nostalgia blind kid on the internet. Sorry.
